East Church members Ellen and Kim Hollon enjoyed a Classical Music Journey rafting trip down the Green River in Utah in the Summer of 2013. Half of the quartet from that trip blessed us with their musical gifts during Sunday’s worship service, October 26, 2014. The two guest musicians filled our sanctuary with exquisite music: two lovely Bach selections for our Prelude, a Haydn selection with Lynn on piano for our Offertory, and a Pergolesi composition with the East Church choir for our Anthem.
Javier Caballero, cello, received his Master’s Degree in Cello Performance from The Boston Conservatory. In addition to playing regular freelance engagements throughout the Boston area, Javier also works for Project Step, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify musically talented children from Boston communities that are racially and ethnically underrepresented in the classical music world and provide them with comprehensive music and string instrument instruction.
Dillon Robb, violinist, is a senior in Violin Performance at The Boston Conservatory. Dillon also has passion for dance performance.
