East Church's Reading Changes Lives Literacy Initiative ran a fun "Build a Poem" activity at Coffee Hour throughout the month of April 2016, which happened to be National Poetry Month. Baskets filled with a hodgepodge of paper words were placed on the tables in Fellowship Hall each Sunday. Participants were encouraged to take a handful and be creative – individually, with a friend, or with whoever happens to be at that table.
