Pastor Shelly, in coordination with the Christian Education team, has been exploring what we know as the Lord's Prayer (or the "Our Father") phrase by phrase on AWE Sundays. We had been told to bring a favorite stuffed animal to worship on October 28, but we weren't told why. During the time of Passing the Peace we were invited to introduce our stuffed buddy to those around us. I think it's fair to say something approaching heavenly mayhem ensued. Pastor Shelly's homily was entitled "Heaven Here and Now." Uhhhm - yep. :-)
