East Church was delighted to “welcome and host" a special guest, Mary Chilton, one of the original passengers on the Mayflower during worship and coffee hour on Sunday, November 11. Mary shared a bit of her journey, including the drive to find a new place where all could worship freely, with our children and later answered lots of great questions about her trip and life in the new world. We also have a great book for children of all ages in our church library about Mary, written by her descendent and East Church member, Joyce Prince.
