Congregational Meeting November 19 A solemn, sometimes emotional, yet hope-filled gathering of the East Church community to vote on our path forward into a complicated and uncertain future. Pastor Shelly’s Holy Spirit stole, draped on the chancel rail, stood as a beacon to ground and focus us. Members were given an opportunity to speak, and they spoke earnestly while others listened respectfully. A vote was taken to narrow three options to two. A second vote was taken to narrow two options to one. An outcome was announced. And now… off we go into that uncertain, terrifying, exhilarating next chapter.
