Gratitude for a Giver.
On a Sunday evening before Thanksgiving, Milton puts on an event at which the Town’s combined faith communities and social services organizations lift up a special individual to recognize that individual’s noteworthy contributions to the wider community.
Organized by the Milton Interfaith Clergy Association (MICA), the event is called Thanks-for-Giving.
East Church’s nominee for 2004, Donna R., will be out of town when the event takes place, so Pastor Shelly took a moment during the Nov. 17 worship service to make an informal presentation in the presence of her fellow parishioners, to recognize Donna and to call attention to the many ways in which she has been a steadfast and valued force for building and serving community.
